The Mission

Aley Church
proclaims the Good News of Jesus Christ in word and deed
that our church family, community and world
may see and know God's redeeming love,
calling all to become Christ's disciples.

The Vision

We see a church filled with people of all ages and from all walks of life who believe in Christ as their personal savior spreading their faith by constantly and intentionally inviting others, including the unchurched, to share in his love and grace. We see a worship environment where the Spirit of God in Christ is present with varied, culturally relevant opportunities to experience this Spirit. The congregation is filled with people who pray to hear God's call to service to accomplish God's will and mission and the mission of this church. The church is filled with an atmosphere of hospitality, and openness, inviting and accessible facilities, and attention to needs and excellence in ministry.

We see people called to discipleship while being inspired by the Word of God and educated in the Christian faith and way of life. We see people excited to practice their discipleship - actively applying their spiritual gifts through lay ministries in the church and serving the outside community through acts of love and compassion. We see people giving abundantly of their time, their talents and their financial resources to accomplish the work of God.

The Strategy

The specific goals (to realize our mission):
  • Knowing: We will lead people to Christ, help them to accept Christ as their Savior, and bring them into the fellowship of the Church.
  • Growing: We will facilitate the spiritual journey for all who come into our fellowship through prayer, the Sacraments, Bible study, education, nurture and Christian example.
  • Serving: We will equip and actively involve our congregation in ministry, responding to human needs wherever we find them. We will seek out opportunities for serving, then facilitate and support service through time, talents, and physical resources.
  • Sharing: Called by the Great Commission, we will go out to share the Good News of Christ in word and deed.
  • Worshiping: We will provide for and encourage public and private worship which glorifies God, deepens our relationship with God, and supports and enhances all the Goals of the church.
