IHN HOSTING WEEK Aley's next week hosting the homeless begins Sunday, September 14 and we need volunteers. Contact Jan Schneider for more info.

SUNDAY SCHOOL REGISTRATION for infants through 5th grade. Please pick up and complete a registration form in the Hospitality Center by Sunday, September 14.

FALL YOUTH GROUP KICKOFF/COOKOUT. Tonight the Hertings will host the youth group at their home from 6-8:30 p.m. All youth are welcomed to join us for good food, fun and fellowship. Ladies are asked to bring a dessert and gentlemen are asked to bring chips or snacks. Drinks, hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided.

DONATION NEEDED. We have a church member who is in need of a recliner chair - style and color do not matter. Contact Karen Engel Director of Caring Ministries.

CHANCEL CHOIR rehearsals are held each Thursday in room 201 from 7-8:30 p.m. is for anyone ages 12 and up and sing at the 8:30 worship service. Childcare provided. Contact Kate Barrett for more info.

STAFFING POSITION VACANCY: The Staff Parish Relations Committee is searching for a qualified person to fill the position of Director of Adult Ministry. This is a part time, salaried, 16 hours per week position. For further information you can check the Aley web site under the Staff Parish tab or contact Bob Linhardt.

FALL YOUTH PROGRAM HAS STARTED. We meet in the youth building on Wednesdays from 7-8 p.m. for a time of praise and worship. Afterwards we will meet online for discussion. For more info contact Pastor Jim.

NEW BELLS OF PRAISE start rehearsing next month with Cheri Warner as director. This handbell group is for individuals 7th grade through adult who have previous musical experience of any kind. Participants will be taught how to ring English Handbells and will also advance their music-reading skills. We also need two assistants for this ensemble. Please contact Cheri for more info.

UMW SPONSORED SALAD SUPPER will be Monday, September 8 at 6:30p.m. Garth Cartlledge from OMS will be speaker on missions. Ron Ruff will also talk about the Emergency Relief Effort. All ladies encouraged to come and to bring a salad dish. UMW board members are asked to bring a salad meat dish.

THE HALLELUJAH HANDCHIMES children's group will start rehearsing on Tuesday, September 9 from 7-8 p.m. in the sanctuary. The first 3 rehearsals will be for new ringers only; previous members will join rehearsal on September 30. Contact Kate Barrett for more info.

UMW EVENING CIRCLE MEETING CHANGE. The location of the meeting on Monday, September 22 at 7 p.m. has been changed to Aley Church. We will be assembling the Festival of Sharing School Kits. All Aley ladies are welcome. If you are bringing a dish please contact Aaron.

FLOOD RELIEF IN MARTINSVILLE, IN. Our next trip will be September 19-20. We will have a quick meeting at Church Thursday, September 18 at 7 p.m. for individuals interested in going. Contact Ron Ruff for more info.

ALEY FAMILY HAYRIDE at Fulton Farms is Saturday, September 27. We will meet here at church and carpool to Fulton Farms at 4 p.m. Cost is $7 per person (2 and under are free), which includes the hayride and food. Sign up and pay in the Hospitality center or stop by the office.

MISSION TRIP TO ECUADOR. We are in need of one more person. A team member had to drop out leaving us at 9 members, 10 people are needed to get the group discount. Please contact Ron Ruff for more info.

UMW EVENING CIRCLE will meet on Wednesday, September 24 at 9:30 p.m. in the parlor. Gail Simpson will present the program on the Kairos Prison Ministry.
