We try to ensure that those serving in other areas ministry are cared for as they serve and we recognize the importance of holistic care. It is important that as a church we support and care for each other while advancing God's mission.

GRIEF MINISTRIES
CARDS AND CONDOLENCES ARE SENT OUT UPON THE DEATH OF CHURCH MEMBERS OR CHURCH MEMBERS CLOSE FAMILY MEMBERS. THERE ARE ALSO GRIEF BOOKS AVAILABLE TO BORROW AS WORKING THROUGH THE GRIEF OF A LOSS OR MAJOR TRANSITION.
HEARTS and Hammers
WHETHER DUE TO INJURY OR AGE, SOMETIMES IT'S DIFFICULT TO TASKS SUCH AS CHANGING LIGHT BULBS, RAKING LEAVES, OR SIMPLE HOME REPAIRS. HEARTS AND HAMMERS PROVIDES THE LABOR AT NO COST TO HELP TAKE CARE OF THESE NEEDS AS THEY ARISE.
FUNERAL DINNERS
IN COORDINATION WITH THE UNITED METHODIST WOMEN, WE OFFER A DINNER FOLLOWING FUNERAL SERVICES AS A TIME FOR FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO SPEND TIME TOGETHER SHARING MEMORIES OF THE DECEASED WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT WHAT TO PREPARE FOR A MEAL.

EACH CHRISTMAS SEASON WE SEND MULTIPLE GROUPS OUT TO SHARE CHRISTMAS CAROLS TO SHUT-INS AND CHURCH MEMBERS WHO ARE RECOVERING FROM RECENT SURGERIES.
prayer chain
PRAYER IS A VITAL COMPONENT TO SPIRITUAL CARE. WE BELIEVE IN THE POWER OR PRAYER AND THE POWER OF NUMBERS. AS PRAYER REQUESTS COME IN, AND WHEN PERMISSION IS GIVEN, THEY SENT OUT TO THOSE ON THE PRAYER CHAIN TO OFFER UP THEIR PRAYERS OF INTERCESSION.
Care Partners
Care partners are trained and equipped church members who provide prayer and availability for other designated church members. It is a goal that Care Partners would reach out at least once a month to check on their partner(s) and provide support as needed. If you would like to have a Care Partner or would like to be a Care Partner to another church member, please contact Karen Engel.
