2025 SUMMER MINI-CAMPS

Aley is excited to be offering several mini-camp opportunities throughout the entire summer! 

Each camp will have a specialized focus that's interactive, fun, and educational. 

Days, times, and ages vary - we have camps for kids and adults! 

Grades are based on students grade for the 2025-2026 school year.

If a Mini-Camp reaches maximum enrollment, you will be notified and added to a waitlist.

  • Road Trip!  

    (4 years-5th grade)

    Come join us as we embark on an exciting Road Trip for Vacation Bible School based on Joshua 1:9 – "The LORD your God is with you wherever you go." Discover God's presence everywhere as we explore new places, make new friends, and experience God's goodness together.

  • Don't stress, be happy

    (Grades 2-5)

    Feeling stressed can affect the way you feel and how you feel about things (like school and friendships). Come learn some fun and healthy ways to cope with stress and anxiety - like yoga, art, and nature.

  • Puppets

    (Grades 1-4)

    Puppets - Ever heard of “talk to the hand”? Well how about “talk with the hand”? We will learn how to grow in character, make puppets & props and get to work with fun professional puppets (this is not a ventriloquism camp).

  • Creative journaling

    (adults)

    Learn a creative and easy way to do personal journaling using different mediums and techniques. The best part is this doesn’t require you to be creative or able to draw or paint, and it's good for your mental health! If you can draw a stick figure you’re more than qualified to grow with us in faith and fun. If you have favorite personal tools you like to use; such as colored pencils, markers, crayons or paints you are welcome to bring them. But everything taught is with the ease and fun of watercolors and everything you need will be provided to get you started.

  • Music camp

    (grades k-6)

    A vibrant 3-day music camp celebrating the rich diversity of African culture and music. Through hands-on drumming, singing, campers will explore traditional rhythms, instruments, and stories from across the continent. Each day will highlight a different region of Africa, offering a dynamic and immersive experience in its unique musical traditions.

  • Puppets & balloon twisting

    (grades 5-9)

    Balloon Twisting - What’s smarter than a talking monkey? A spelling bee… It’s a good thing that we’re not going to learn bad jokes, but you can learn to twist a monkey and bee using balloons. But let's start with the twisting basics and simple one-balloon animals. Everyone goes home with their own pump and some balloons to practice twisting at home!

  • stem creation

    (grades 4-8)

    The Spark Place at Xenia Community Library is full of tools to learn new skills and try high-tech equipment you may not normally be able to access. Engraving, 3-D printing, soldering, green screen room, large-scale printers, quilting machines, hot press, and more! Come check out the space, learn some cool STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) skills and create something of your very own to take home! Note - each participant must have an additional liability form from the library signed by a parent/guardian. We will email this form after we receive your registration.


    June 30 - July 2 → 1-3pm


    Location: Xenia Community Library Spark Place (76 East Market Street Xenia, OH 45385) Parents/guardians are responsible for getting participants to/from the Xenia Library. Adults are welcome and encouraged to relax at the library during the mini-camp time.


    REGISTRATION IS CURRENTLY FULL and a waitlist has been established. If we're able to provide more openings for this mini-camp, we will re-open registration. 

  • Outdoor adventures

    (grades 5-12)

    Designed for students who love the outdoors and want to develop new skills while having fun. We'll have 3 days of outdoor fun, skill-building, and adventure! Each day will feature a different adventure:


    *Archery & Paintball Slingshot– Learn the basics of safety, aiming techniques, and target shooting in a safe and controlled environment. (Location: Aley UMC)


    *Fishing – Discover the fundamentals of fishing, including baiting hooks, tying knots, casting, and other helpful tips from experienced recreational fishers. **Students 16 years of age and older must acquire a fishing license prior to fishing. (Location: Pond at Hunter's Ridge Park)


    *Ultimate Frisbee – Get active with fast-paced team play, learning throwing techniques, strategies, and sportsmanship in this exciting sport. (Location: Shellabarger Park)


    Parents/guardians are responsible for getting participants to/from the meeting location each day.

  • Theater camp

    (grades 2-6)

    A fun-filled time for students to explore the excitement of acting, movement, and creative expression! Through interactive theater and singing games, participants will build confidence, develop stage presence, and learn how to engage with others through performance. Students are asked to bring their own water bottle labeled with their name and dress prepared to be outside.

  • Learn Ukulele

    (Grades 9-adult - or grades 5-8 w/adult)

    Discover the joy of making music at our fun-filled 2-day ukulele camp, perfect for beginners and budding musicians alike. Campers will learn basic chords, strumming patterns, and popular songs in a relaxed, supportive environment. The experience will end on a high note with a cozy campfire sing-along, where everyone gets to play, sing, and celebrate together under the stars. A great opportunity for families or individuals to come learn and immerse themselves in the world of ukulele!

  • Fun in the Kitchen! 

    (Grade 2+, each student must be accompanied by an adult)


    Come have some fun in the kitchen! This is a great opportunity for kids/youth to join with an adult and have fun learning three different skills in the kitchen:


    *Cookie Decorating: Learn to roll, cut, and decorate yummy sugar cookies! You’ll go home with some delicious treats and tools to make more. 


    *Main Course: Meet a professional chef and create a main course meal together!


    *Charcuterie: Learn to make some fun individual snacks in the charcuterie style. Go home with some examples and ideas to make your own charcuterie board.

  • Paper Art: Quilling

    (Grades 9-adult - or grades 5-8 w/adult)

    No experience needed to attend this 3 evening mini camp for teens and adults! Come learn a fun paper craft and make an ornament and a 3-D picture. Participants will be free to work at their own pace and much assistance will be available to those in the learning process.

  • Lights, camera, create!

    (Grades 6-12)

    Want to learn how influencers and real filmmakers create videos? Join us for film camp! Students will explore the full filmmaking process—from brainstorming and storyboarding, to filming with real gear, to editing with graphics and music. Campers will work in small groups, rotate through production roles, and finish with a polished video ready to show your friends and family! All equipment and materials are provided, and space is limited to 12 students for a focused, creative experience.
